Mr. McAleesejergins Biography
An internationally acclaimed vocalist, master vocal instructor, and highly sought-after ensemble coach, KJ McAleesejergins is recognized across the United States and Europe for his dynamic artistry and transformative teaching. As the baritone of the International Champion a cappella quartet Midtown, K.J. has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages and continues to shape the global a cappella and choral community through his innovative approach to vocal performance and ensemble coaching.
K.J. is an 11 year resident of Cornwall and the Founder and Director of the Cornwall Performing Arts Center (CPAC), a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to serving Cornwall by providing high-quality performing arts opportunities for singers and musicians of all ages. Through CPAC, he leads a variety of community-focused programs including children’s choirs, youth ensembles, adult vocal groups, senior choirs, rock band programs, and private music instruction, all designed to bring people together through the power of music.
He is also the Director of Rock Voices Hudson Valley, an 80+ member community rock choir that rehearses and performs in Cornwall, New York. Under his direction, the ensemble has quickly become a vibrant musical outlet for singers across the region, offering adults the opportunity to perform high-energy rock and pop repertoire in a welcoming and collaborative environment.
A 20-year U.S. Army veteran, K.J. served as a paratrooper and hand-to-hand combatives instructor with the elite 82nd Airborne Division and later as a featured vocalist/percussionist for the Army National Guard, combining discipline, leadership, and musical excellence throughout his military career.
In addition to his vocal work, K.J. is a skilled multi-instrumentalist and the founder of Live Loud Studios in New York, a full-service recording, production, and teaching studio dedicated to empowering students, artists, and educators alike.
Known for his passion, energy, and ability to inspire singers of all backgrounds, K.J. continues to mentor musicians and ensembles around the world while building a vibrant musical community here in Cornwall through performance, education, and collaboration.
