Angela M. Gago (Mrs. Viel) was born and raised in the Bronx where she attended St. Frances of Rome School and Cardinal Spellman High School. She earned a BA in Art with minors in French and Spanish from Herbert H. Lehman College (CUNY), and an MFA (printmaking) from Pratt Institute. Mrs. Viel taught Art and bilingual Spanish subjects at George Washington High School in Manhattan for ten years. She spent the subsequent years raising and home educating her two children, participating in the creation of stage sets and costumes for the St. Monica
Homeschoolers, and working as a private tutor. Mr. and Mrs. Viel have been team-teaching Art for all grade levels at STCA/CAST since January 2022. Mrs. Viel is fluent in Spanish and French.
